Testing
Our staff at Novare Public are trained and certified for the following tests:
- Hogan Assessment System (HAS)
- Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ32)
- Matrigma Aptitude Test
- Verbal, Numerical and Inductive Reasoning Ability – Verify
All of these testing tools are approved by DNV GL and the Swedish STP (Foundation for Applied Psychology).
Hogan Assessment System (HAS)
Hogan Assessment Systems (HAS) is a personality testing tool consisting of a three-part test which in combination provides a uniquely comprehensive assessment of personality. With more than 35 years of research and 300 studies behind it, this tool sets a new standard for personality testing.
- Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI)
- Hogan Development Survey (HDS)
- Motives Values and Preferences Inventory (MVPI)
The first test highlights personality qualities that get expressed in normal conditions, the Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI). The second part adds an in-depth analysis of the candidate’s performance risks when they experience increased strain and pressure in difficult situations – the Hogan Development Survey (HDS). The third part helps understand what motivates candidates – Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI).
OCCUPATIONAL PERSONALITY QUESTIONNAIRE (OPQ32)
OPQ32r is a personality questionnaire that describes 32 character qualities. These are grouped into three primary sets: relationships, mindset, and emotions. In OPQ, personality is defined as the individual’s typical or preferred behavior, thought processes, and feelings.
The combination of these 32 characteristics creates a profile unique to the individual. The profile can then be compared to the requirement profile for any position. OPQ32 provides detailed information in 20 competency fields within the SHL Universal Competency Framework.
APTITUDE TESTING/PROFICIENCY TESTING
Central to general aptitude (G) is the ability to find new ways to solve a task when you cannot rely on previous learnings or experience. Research shows that people with a higher general aptitude often solve tasks faster and more efficiently than others and that they also have greater prerequisites for understanding new concepts. The G measure has also been shown to be predictive in relation to success in working life and how well a person can succeed with different work tasks.
MATRIGMA
Matrigma is a logical analytical test that provides a measurement of problem-solving skills and deductive reasoning, as well as aptitude for determining logical connections. This test challenges the ability to see hidden relationships, fill gaps where information is not available, see relationships between objects and find connections.
VERIFY – VERBAL, NUMERICAL AND INDUCTIVE REASONING ABILITY
Verify consists of three proficiency tests that measure verbal, numerical and inductive abilities. The numerical component measures the candidate’s ability to make the correct decision or draw the appropriate conclusion from numerical or statistical data. The verbal part measures the candidate’s ability to assess the logic behind various types of written arguments. And the inductive component measures the ability to draw conclusions and understand the relationship between various concepts independent of previous knowledge.
