Do you want to work as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in a unique international organization where you will have the opportunity to develop the finance function? Business Sweden has more than 40 offices worldwide, as CFO you will operate in a complex and truly international context. The CFO-role at Business Sweden is currently undergoing a change where the scope has become more refined, and finance focused.  As CFO you will be responsible for the daily operations of the finance function as well as actively participating in the journey to a more profitable and efficient Business Sweden.

 

As CFO you will lead a finance organization of 15 people working within accounting and controlling. The role entails both strategic and operational work, rolling up your sleeves and supporting the team operationally when so needed while at the same time being forward looking and leading the development and long-term strategy of the function and its impact on Business Sweden as a whole. The CFO will create, streamline, and automate processes and routines and shape a finance function that supports the business efficiently.

 

The role is based at Business Sweden’s Headquarters located in the World Trade Center in Stockholm. CFO is part of the Executive Management Team, reports directly to the CEO, and is expected to work close together with the CEO, deputy CEO and other management team members in mapping out the road-map for the business, as well as implementing strategic initiatives and ensure qualitative delivery. AS CFO you will be a vital source of information and analysis for the CEO and a self evident goto-person for advice and discussions on various strategic and tactical issues.  

 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Responsibility for Business Sweden’s annual processes as well as daily operations of the finance function.
  • Responsibility for establishing methods and structures that ensure cost efficient operations across the organization.
  • Participate in developing business reviews, follow-up and reporting to the Board as well as internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strengthen the finance functions processes, structure and the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for development and execute on these as well as lead change processes within the finance function and system landscape.
  • Leadership responsibility for the finance function.
  • Operationally lead and distribute tasks within the team, create development plans, salary setting as well as work environment responsibility.
  • Continuously ensure informative reporting on Business Sweden’s financial results and status to both the board and management as well as the organization as a whole.

 

Who are you

We are looking for a person with a degree in Business Administration and at least 15 years of relevant work experience as well as strong leadership experience. You have experience of being part of the management team with reporting to the CEO as well as experience of reporting financial results to management, the board and owners. You have strong skills and understanding of analysis and monthly reporting as well as working in a project-based business. You have strong accounting skills and a good understanding of business controlling, you enjoy working closely with the business. You are used to having overall responsibility for financial statements and annual reports as well as budget and forecasting processes. You also have experience of being part of and leading projects, preferably within automation and digitalization.

 

We believe that you have strong IT-skills and are well versed in Excel, PowerPoint and ERP-systems. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of different BI-systems such as QlikView, QlikSense and Power BI. Having experience from consulting and project-based environments is an advantage. We also believe that you have experience from an international business and that you have good communications skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

 

As a person you thrive in navigating a constantly changing environment in a complex and international organization. You are clear in your communication and have a humble and diplomatic approach. You are structured and have good prioritization and decision-making skills.
