Asmaa Abdullah, Java Developer at Fast2
How did you experience the recruiting process with Novare Potential?
My contact person, at Manpower Matchning AB, advised me to contact Novare Potential to participate in the course of Software Development Academy at KTH. I was accepted and it was important to me because I had left my job in my country in 2009 and therefore, I needed to update my information. Novare Potential had an important role in sending my CV to companies as well as they were with me at every step of hiring process, even during the first year of hiring they would call me regularly to know the extent of my evolutionary at work and trying to solve problems, if I had any.
Tell us a little bit about your role at FAST2
I’m working as Java Developer and my role contributes a lot to gaining experiences and learning everything new. I will definitely be one of those who contribute to the development of the company. This job gives me the feeling of being a productive person in society.

Why did you decide to collaborate with Novare Potential and are you happy with the outcome?
We have been working with Novare Potential since 2017. Originally, of course in the pursuit of key competence, and to find partners who may be successful in helping us finding it, in the increasingly competitive area of Software development. Novare Potential´s way of working had aspects that we found appealing, such as finding competence that might not so easily be found otherwise. The collaboration with KTH, to strengthen potential candidates, and the simplicity of their process. We have been very happy with the results working with Novare Potential.
What was it that Asmaa did or said to make you think she is the right fit for the job?
Asmaa’s profile was pretty much spot on, with a master’s degree in Engineering, additional Software education and also some relevant work experience. We liked the personality we found in the interviews, with analytical skills, a sense of personal responsibility, a flexible mind and valuable life experience.
What would you say to companies who are considering recruiting from a more divers candidate pool?
We believe that a diversified workforce, with regards to both age, gender, academic background, work experience, culture, life experience etc., is a strength in itself. And even though the main part of our internal communication and our customer relations requires fluent Swedish, FAST2 has been successful in recruiting and maintaining several employees with backgrounds from many parts of the world. This is an upside when you work in a field where the needed competence can be hard to find.
