As Truecaller have a vision of further expansion around the world, they are now looking for a strong leader who specializes in brand expansion strategy and who can make the company a household name in new markets.
The Vice President Brand & Marketing will be overall responsible for entering and establishing the business in new markets, some already identified and some unidentified. The responsibility involves market entry strategies including market research, positioning, segmentation, product market fit and customization for the specific market, communication plans, design etc. In addition, the launch and development of the service will include evaluating and establishing partnership with local agencies, such as PR, media and creative agencies.
You will lead lead, challenge and coach a team of three high performing and ambitious professionals. The team consists of one digital marketing/communications manager, one content manager and one creative designer. Alongside this you will have the responsibility for building and maintaining a healthy relationship with both technical and non-technical members inside and outside the company.
Furthermore, you will be working out of the HQ in Stockholm, Sweden, and report to the Chief Commercial Officer. India will not fall under the responsibility but there will be opportunity to create other markets and replicate the success in India, perhaps even exceeding the success there.
What will you work on?
- Brand expansion and overall operative as well as strategic work within brand development
- Evaluation and analyzation of consumer insights
- Coaching and leading the marketing and communications team
- Market and competition analysis, positioning, segmentation, product market fit and customization for the specific market
What we expect from you
- +10 years of experience from marketing strategy/planning, briefing/managing advertising and media agencies and executing branded consumer campaigns with a strong track record of digital activation
- Experience leading a team of creative and media professionals
- Experience from global market & brand expansion and adoption strategy
- Experience from working in a consumer-oriented product or service focused company
To become successful in this position you are a result and performance driven person, you have analytical skills and a strategic mind. You have the ability to see the bigger picture, but you are also a doer with a flexible mindset. Your people management skills are excellent and you posses a great understanding of other cultures. Finally, communication is key in this role, thus fluency in English is a must.
