Discovery Networks are now in the process of strengthening the Distribution & Partnerships department with the new position as Director Partnership and Distribution Nordics. As Director Partnership and Distribution Nordics you will be responsible for contributing to the Company strategy and executing Discovery´s subscription business strategy in Nordics, (Sweden & Denmark in particular). The role has operational responsibility for and will lead team of direct reports to deliver commercial distribution business and account management related to sales and distribution of TV channels, B2B2C distribution of D2C services and other content products via relevant distribution partners according to set goals and priorities.
The Director Partnership and Distribution Nordics will have a special focus on developing the partnerships business in Nordics, beyond the current business model to accelerate distribution of D2C services. You will be responsible for appointed clients and manages activities, internal and external stakeholders and processes relating to these accounts. The role takes ownership for contributing to the wider direction of the business by identifying business efficiency/effectiveness issues and the best solutions, including continuous development of the roles in the team.
The Director Partnership and Distribution Nordics will report to VP Partnerships & Distribution Nordics and has direct staff responsibility for 3 persons and is part of Nordic P&D leadership team. The role is placed at Discovery Networks head office at Tegeluddsvägen 80 in Stockholm.
Key Requirements and skills:
- Relevant academic degree and credentials, preferably within Business Administration, Finance and/or Law
- Experience of managing complex sales and/or business development
- Experience of leading others
- Solid experience from leading high stake, complex partnership/customer negotiations
- In-depth understanding of and insights in the media distribution gained from senior management position within the cable, broadband, mobile industry or equivalent
- Proven results from successfully driving strategic partnerships, preferably within the TV and digital media business
- Extensive network within the world of media distributors and networks is considered a strong merit
- Fluency in English
- Leadership experience
