Evergreen Garden Care is looking for a dynamic and experienced People & Culture Manager to lead HR initiatives across the Scandinavian region. This pivotal role will oversee the integration of the recently acquired Econova Garden business into the Evergreen culture. The successful candidate will play a key role in aligning the Scandinavian operations with Evergreen’s global values, ensuring that all employees are engaged, motivated, and aligned with business objectives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, growing company within the garden care industry.
Operating in 15 countries, Evergreen Garden Care is Europe and Australasia's leading garden care company and has recently acquired Econova Garden, to strengthen its position in Scandinavia. The company’s mission is to inspire people to create and maintain green spaces, from expansive gardens to cozy balconies and indoor environments.
The position is based in Norrköping but some travelling will be a part of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integration Leadership: The People & Culture Manager will lead the integration of Econova Garden into the Evergreen culture, ensuring seamless alignment of practices, values, and goals across the region.
- HR Expertise: This role provides high-quality HR advice and guidance on recruitment, talent management, and employee relations. The manager will support local leaders in handling performance issues, workforce planning, and restructuring as needed.
- Employee Engagement: The manager will be responsible for driving employee engagement initiatives, developing, and implementing a wellbeing plan, and ensuring that communication strategies are aligned with Evergreen’s broader messaging.
- Operational Excellence: The role requires partnering with the General Manager Scandinavia and Group P&C Director to effectively roll out Evergreen’s HR processes across the region. The manager will facilitate leadership development sessions and run workshops to enhance leadership skills and promote a high-performance culture.
- Compliance & Relations: The manager will ensure compliance with local labor laws, manage relationships with unions and work councils, and oversee employee relations procedures, including labor disputes.
Background and experience
- Robust experience in Human Resources Management, preferably in an FMCG, fast-paced manufacturing companies or Private Equity backed business (10+ years)
- Highly commercial outlook, experience of managing and operating within defined budgets.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, working to tight deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to work independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) and highly developed communication skills.
