Business Sweden are business developers with a unique mandate. Through 54 offices in 40 markets, we contribute to growth and jobs by helping Swedish companies increase their global sales and by supporting international companies to invest and expand in Sweden. To strengthen our global organization, Business Sweden is now recruiting a Vice President People & Culture who wants to lead and further develop our HR function for the future.
As VP People & Culture, you will be responsible for managing and evolving Business Sweden’s global HR function in a dynamic and international environment. You will work closely with the CEO, the global Executive Management Team and leaders worldwide to ensure that HR strategies, processes and tools effectively support our business goals. The role combines strategic and operational responsibilities. You will lead the HR organization consisting of 15 people of which two are direct reports, and secure a structured, efficient and agile HR organization. A key part of the role is to further develop Business Sweden’s people agenda, including leadership, talent management, employee experience and modern HR processes supported by the right systems and data.
You report to the CEO, are a member of Business Sweden’s global management team and are based at our headquarters in the World Trade Center in Stockholm. The role includes some international travel.
Background & Experience
- An academic degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Extensive experience from both operational and strategic HR work, preferably in international organizations
- Documented leadership experience, including leading teams and driving change
- Experience of coaching senior leaders and acting as a strategic partner to management
- Experience from working with HR in an international context and with culture in a multinational workforce.
- Proven experience of creating and implementing HR strategies, processes and tools
- Experience of maintaining and developing HR systems and digital tools
- Experience from consulting businesses is an advantage
- Experience from working with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, spoken and written
