About Guldsmedshyttan
Baettr’s foundry in Guldsmedshyttan is rich in both history and experience and pioneers innovation in casting technology for on-shore components, helping customers achieve more cost-efficient manufacturing procedures. The foundry in Guldsmedshyttan was originally founded in the 15th century and was a cornerstone to the Swedish royal family, manufacturing 95% of the army’s artillery supplies and cannonballs. Since Guldsmedshyttan was purchased by Vestas in 2002 the foundry has seen massive investments in research and technology. To this day, Guldsmedshyttan serves as one of the oldest operating foundries in the world. The business has been growing steadily and aims at a production quantity of 30 000 tons. Guldsmedshyttan has approximately 130 employees.
About the role
As Site Director for Guldsmedshyttan you have responsibility for the daily management and leadership of the site. You are also responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the factory as well as develop the plant organization to deliver a high-performance culture. You achieve results by implementing lean manufacturing principles and by being a present and engaged leader. You also achieve results through your ability to work in and respect a global matrix organization, by optimizing results based on best practice standards and through collaboration with Baettr global sites as well as group functions.
Background and experience
- 10-15 years of management experience with full P&L responsibility, global experience preferred
- Production experience, minimum of 5 years from heavy industry
- Advanced in leadership skills, preferably from an international environment
- Experience from developing organizations and drive talent and pipeline
- Lean /Six Sigma knowledge
- University degree in engineering or technical degree preferred
Personality
As a person you are a mature and team-oriented leader. You are structured, process-oriented and have developed analytical as well as conceptual thinking. Furthermore, you have a strategic, business- amd resultoriented mindset. Last, but not least, you have good communicative skills, you are good at stake-holder management and have both skills and interest in coaching and developing others.
