About the Position

OX2 is expanding geographically into new markets and adopting innovative technologies to drive our digital transformation. We operate in a hybrid environment that blends cutting edge cloud services with essential on premises systems. To support our growth, we’re seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer who will bridge these environments and lead initiatives that ensure our IT ecosystem is secure, scalable, and agile.

This is a strategic role within our growing IT team, where you’ll work closely with business stakeholders, external partners, and internal teams. Reporting directly to the Manager of Infrastructure (IT/OT), you’ll be expected not only to provide technical expertise but also to take a leadership role in driving projects forward and delivering tangible results.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and implement a strategic infrastructure plan aligned with business goals.
  • Assess emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Design and architect scalable solutions across Azure, AWS, GCP, and on-premises systems.
  • Act as a technical lead, driving projects from conception to optimization.
  • Lead cross-functional projects using methodologies like Agile and Waterfall.
  • Manage timelines, resources, and stakeholders to ensure on-time project delivery.
  • Take full initiative and decision-making responsibility in complex projects.
  • Oversee network design and management, including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and routing.
  • Develop lifecycle management plans for networking solutions.
  • Maintain and optimize cloud and on-prem environments for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.
  • Improve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for agile deployments.
  • Implement and enforce security policies and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Manage identity and access solutions (Active Directory, cloud-based IAM).
  • Design, implement, and test monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery solutions for business continuity.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and process innovation.

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

The ideal candidate possesses extensive technical expertise and hands-on experience with cloud platforms and hybrid environments, including Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform. You have a strong background in on-premises systems and networking technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and routing. Additionally, you bring a solid understanding of DevOps practices and orchestration through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Proficiency in automation and scripting using languages like PowerShell and Python, along with familiarity with modern IT frameworks, further strengthens your skill set.

Beyond technical expertise, the candidate demonstrates project management capabilities. You have a proven ability to lead cross-functional projects from inception to completion. A proactive and self-driven mindset is key.

A natural curiosity for emerging technologies and a commitment to continuous learning are fundamental traits of this role. The candidate is passionate about exploring innovative solutions and staying up to date with industry trends.

In terms of education, a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, System Administration, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent work experience is also valued. Relevant certifications, such as those from Microsoft, AWS, or Google Cloud, are considered a strong advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required, while fluency in Swedish is a plus.
