we are now looking for a head of sales (distributors & resellers) to join our team.
general
- as the head of sales (distributors & resellers), you will lead the execution of our global sales strategy for resellers and distributors, driving growth across markets and ensuring the success of our products. your role will focus on developing and executing data-driven sales strategies, strengthening key account and distributor relationships, and driving sell-through across all channels. you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with teenage engineering’s strategic goals.
- we are seeking a passioned, high-energy builder—someone who can work hands-on from the office, airport and in the field, supporting the team and meeting the most strategic accounts and finding new partners. Build our brand equity by strengthening the instore presence globally. The right candidate will lead the offline sales from where it is today to an even more effective, and scalable model. professional growth will come from leading this transformation and creating a future state of success.
main responsibilities & tasks
- sales management: lead the sales team and set the right strategy and direction
- key account and distributor management: actively manage relationships with top key accounts and distributors to enhance sell-through and sales outcomes.
- focus on sell-through: ensure sell-through is prioritized in all strategies, working directly with partners to optimize product movement and inventory turnover.
- achieve sales targets: take full ownership of offline sales targets, ensuring the team is aligned and focused on exceeding goals.
- optimize distribution: oversee distribution policies, ensuring consistent and effective application across markets, while transitioning markets from distributor-led to direct reseller models when appropriate.
- data-driven analysis and improvement: use analytics to continuously monitor and improve sales performance, ensuring long-term growth.
- cross-functional collaboration: align offline sales efforts with the ecommerce manager and the commercial project lead to drive growth and customer lifetime value.
- travel expectations: frequent travel is required to build relationships and grow key accounts globally.
qualifications
- sales leadership: 5-10+ years of experience in sales management of consumer facing products, to distributors and retailers.
- sell-through expertise: proven ability to drive sell-through across distribution channels, ensuring successful product movement.
- data-driven decision-making: strong analytical skills to guide strategy and improve sales performance based on data insights.
- collaborative leadership: experience working with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with broader business goals.
- hands-on and proactive: comfortable with day-to-day operations in a lean environment, solving problems in real-time and driving results.
- builder mentality: someone who can grow the b2b function into a future-ready model.
- industry experience from musical instruments and products, consumer electronics, computers/gaming, audio/video to distributors/resellers internationally.
- instore execution: experience in leading / securing best practice instore execution.

the position located at our hq in stockholm and will report to the CCO. as this position is located in stockholm, a swedish work permit is required to apply. frequent travel to manage key accounts globally is expected of this position.

the company was founded in 2007. our first product was the OP–1, a portable all-in-one synthesizer used by world famous artists, sound designers and dj's. other products range from the OD–11, a high-end wireless stereo loudspeaker, the ultra portable and ultra low cost pocket operators, the OP–Z multimedia synthesizer and sequencer workhorse. our hq is located in stockholm, sweden. here a multidisciplinary team of software / electrical / mechanical engineers and industrial / textile / lifestyle designers are developing our products from start to finish. the studio is a fully equipped workshop with a state-of-the-art rapid prototyping machines. we believe in culture / people / technology / discipline / curiosity / humor. we have a collective agreement “tekniktjänsteavtalet unionen/sveriges ingenjörer”.
