Head of Group Accounting

To support this growth and ensure a strong financial foundation, MotionTech is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Head of Group Accounting. In this role, you will be responsible for building and developing a professional, business-oriented group accounting function that meets the demands of a rapidly expanding organization. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing robust financial processes, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Your responsibilities will include
- Responsible for group consolidation and reporting.
- Responsible for setting up an in-house group accounting function.
- Overseeing the implementation of the consolidation system Aaro.
- Establishing processes and coordinating with subsidiaries to efficiently collect data for group reporting.
- Ensuring the accuracy of data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Leading the transition to IFRS.
- Preparing the group annual report.
- Ownership of the financial manual.
Background and experience
- Approximately 10 years of experience in qualified accounting and consolidation, gained from a Big 4 firm and/or an operational position.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS regulations and experience from working in an international business environment.
- Experience and proficiency in group consolidation systems, preferably Aaro.
- Experience in listed and M&A-driven companies is a plus.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, with excellent communication skills.
- Academic degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
