Global Sales Director
As Global Sales Director at Modine, you will play a central role in shaping the global sales organization and driving the company’s commercial development and growth. With a clear mandate to develop a scalable commercial model and modern ways of working, you will define and implement the global sales agenda in line with Modine’s ambitions in critical infrastructure and other demanding industrial segments. Reporting to the GM Global Power & Process and as part of the management team, you will influence how Modine goes to market, contribute to the company’s continued development and growth journey, and build strong relationships with senior decision-makers at customers and partners worldwide.
In this role, you will further develop the strategic direction and culture of an international sales function with global responsibility, including teams in Sweden and China. You will set the overall framework for structured sales methodologies, data-driven decisions and close collaboration with the Product organization, while leading and coaching an international team of around 25 people, of which 5 are direct reports. The position can be based in the Östergötland region, The Mälardalen region or in the Gothenburg region, and includes regular international travel, reflecting the global scope and impact of the role. The head office is based in Söderköping in Östergötland.
Responsibilities
- Lead Modine’s global sales agenda, driving growth in industrial and critical infrastructure segments.
- Set structured, data-driven ways of working for sales, including pipeline management and CRM use.
- Ensure close engagement with senior decision-makers in key customer organizations and at end-user level.
- Lead and develop international sales and quotation teams, with clear goals, KPIs and follow-up.
- Work closely with the Product organization on scalable offerings and competitive pricing.
- Represent Modine externally and build strong, long-term relationships with key customers and partners.
- Further develop the sales organization’s capabilities to support future growth and build a high-performing, customer-focused sales culture.
Background & Experience
- Senior commercial leadership experience in international industrial or global B2B environments.
- Proven track record of entering new markets and winning new key customers.
- Experience building and leading high-performing international sales organizations.
- Strong background in developing scalable commercial offerings.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective sales processes, KPIs and modern CRM-based ways of working.
- Strong analytical ability, with experience translating market and customer insights into concrete commercial actions.
- Strong communication skills and executive presence, comfortable working across cultures and leading remotely.
- Relevant academic degree, for example in Engineering or Business/Business Administration.
- Excellent English, spoken and written; additional languages are an advantage.
