Then we think you are the right person for the position as our new Director IT & Digitalization at Cary Group.
About the role:
The role is positioned in our Group Management Team, you will report to our CEO and get the overall responsibility for IT, digitalization and IT-security within the Group. Today, Cary Group is partly a purchasing organization and partly an operational business with delivery responsibilities toward the Group’s companies in the Nordics.
The Group organization for IT currently consist of four employees, besides your role, and three external development teams that are responsible for developing and maintaining the groupwide systems. Adding to this, there are local organizations in each country outside the Nordics, all reporting to respective country’s CEO. In this relationship, it will be your responsibility to make sure that our shared IT strategies, policies and frameworks are implemented and followed. This position demands that you are able to travel in work within Europe.
A condition for us to succeed in our ambitions is that our IT environment and systems quickly can onboard new companies, with functions that support our expansive customer offering. This is needed because we have a strong growth, mainly by acquisitions of local companies in Sweden as well as in the rest of Europe. All to be integrated into the Group. In other words, it will be your responsibility to secure that our digital possibilities support our expansion.
Our IT systems have continuously been changed and modernized and are today a modern and capable cloud based IT solution with and increasingly digitized customer journey.
Your primary stakeholders are:
- The Group IT team, which consists of an Operational/Project Manager, an Operator, a Support Manager and an IT Architect. You will assume full personell responsibilities for them.
- The local IT organizations in certain of our countries – where what we call Group IT provides support, advice and, when needed, steps into operations in local initiatives.
- The Country Management Teams, acting as requirement specifiers toward the IT delivery.
- The Business Development Team, whose Project Managers run many of the larger projects and initiatives where IT often are involved.
- External suppliers, responsible for development and operations of systems such as BI/Analytics systems (Azure based), the ERP system Dynamics, our intranet and our own workshop system Kalendern (the Calendar).
- The Group Management Team’s members, which you are part of.
Previous experience:
We need you to hold solid experience as an IT Manager, CIO or similar in an international environment, where you hav had the overall responsibility for IT, budget and staff. Among other things, this involves being able to lead your team successfully and also to be an internal role model for great leadership. You also have substantial experience from steering suppliers and, naturally, a good technical understanding, including IT security.
Besides all this, you also need experience from having incorporated acquired companies, and it is desirable that you have worked at larger, listed businesses. Your experiences from such companies makes you used to keeping a clear focus on continuous development and making quick decisions.
It will be extra important that you have:
- Experience from scaling up and professionalizing an IT organizationacross boundaries, as well as designing and adjusting the governace model over time, as size and complexity increases.
- Experience from building and leading small high-performing teams of directs reports and with indirect/virtual teammembers.
- Experience from and knowledge in Azure as cloud (as this is the modern and scaleable foundation that the Nordics are founded on today, and which we see that the rest of Europe should be built toward).
