We are now, on behalf of SEB, looking to find a Depositary Manger. Depositary Services is part of Institutional Banking within Large Corporates and Financial Institutions. A Depositary is a regulated entity (supervised by FSA) independent from the fund and the fund manager. The ultimate purpose of a Depositary is to protect the investors/unit holders of the funds. A Depositary’s obligation is to fulfil the Depositary duties and the responsibilities are primarily towards the supervisory authority and the investors
About the job:
As a Depositary Manager you will be part of a team which responsibility is to perform high quality investment restrictions controls of an assigned portfolio of fund management companies. The role as a Depositary is to make sure that the fund management company, comply with applicable regulations and rules according to UCITS and AIFMD. The responsibility also entails ongoing due diligence and on-site-visits. Hence all duties are performed in accordance with the regulatory requirements of a Depositary function.
Further the team is ensuring onboarding of new clients through a solid set of controls and initial due diligence and risk assessment of the fund management company. We have a broad range of fund management companies which makes this an exciting area to develop within. You will interact directly with the companies as well as internally with stakeholders and supporting functions.
Depositary Oversight in Stockholm consists of 19 team members. You will be located in Stockholm/Arenastaden and report to Helena Norlin, Head of Depositary Oversight Sweden.

Background and experiences:
- An academic degree from university.
- Working with various types of securities, preferably derivatives.
- Knowledge from Real AIFs/ Private Equity Real Estate funds is a significant advantage as well as experience of working with/at a fund management company.
- We appreciate that you understand the current regulatory framework for funds such as UCITS and AIFMD.
- Experience from working with a client facing role.
- You have excellent Swedish and English communication skills, verbally and written.
