The EQT Foundation was established in relation to the public listing of the global investment organization EQT with over Euro 70 billion in AUM. The foundation owns 1% of EQT and uses its dividends and donations to build a cleaner and more inclusive tomorrow, through supporting impact entrepreneurs and researchers.
EQT Foundation complements EQT’s impact-driven investment approach by doing impact-first investments in startups developing climate technology and marked-based solutions for disadvantaged populations. The work of the foundation is fueled by the 1000+ employees at EQT, who volunteer with the EQT Foundation as part of their career development at EQT, working hands-on with bold entrepreneurs and new innovations.
On the grant-making side, the EQT Foundation is working with leading researchers on impact investing to setup an Impact Economy Incubator. The Incubator will fund impact research and incubate open-source digital tools and new financing vehicles for impact.
EQT Foundation is structurally independent from EQT and is managed by the EQT Foundation Partner Committee, consisting of the Partners that donated their shareholding in EQT to establish EQT Foundation. The EQT Foundation will consist of a small core team (∼4-5 FTEs) supported by employees at EQT.
