BTS is a global professional services firm that creates powerful experiences to help leaders build the future of their businesses. We exist to inspire and equip people to do the best work of their lives, creating better businesses and a better world. We have some 800 professionals in 32 offices located on six continents.
The pace of change is increasing before our very eyes. In this environment, the primary barrier to success and progress for businesses is no longer technology. Rather the crucial factor is people – in their ability to learn, adapt and thrive, and for leaders to inspire and sustain their people through change. This is where BTS comes in. We focus on the people side of strategy, working with leaders at all levels to help them make better decisions, convert these decisions to actions and deliver results.
At our core, we believe people learn best by doing. For over 30 years, we’ve been designing fun, powerful experiences that have profound and lasting impact on people and their careers. We inspire new ways of thinking, build critical capabilities and unleash business success. It’s strategy made personal.
As part of small account teams, consultants are expected to be team players, leaders and entrepreneurs. Our organization is intentionally flat and it is not uncommon for partners and newly hired undergraduates to be working closely on accounts and projects for extended periods of time. This is not the traditional consulting model where the senior partner takes the glory and the junior consultant does the hard work. This is a team environment where everyone is expected to add value.
We work in small teams to develop customized business simulations and other learning solutions and then we facilitate learning journeys directly with our clients in a workshop setting that incorporates humour, fun and competition.
What you’ll do in your role
All our roles at BTS are asked to do three things – develop client relationships, design solutions and deliver our programmes. In the Director position, there is an increased focus on business development within the client relationship space with sales targets attached to each position. We also have high expectations about creativity, innovative solutions and increasingly this means about how we best utilise digital solutions in our work.
Within the Leadership practice, you will:
- Identify strategic business opportunities and convert these into sales through the assessment of clients’ needs, understanding the BTS offerings, the development of proposals and the communication of these offerings to clients.
- Create the design of the learning solutions used within the delivery in order drive towards desired client outcomes. Manage members of the team to both leverage existing solutions and develop new content that can be easily accessed and utilised across BTS globally.
- Deliver authentic, engaging, interactive and impactful facilitation programs globally that continue to meet the needs of participants and clients, and positions BTS as the best in the market.
You’ll do all this with leaders from some of the world’s leading corporations – Global 100 and 500 companies. You’ll learn how their business works and what their strategies are, and you’ll be shaping the leadership capabilities of their senior management. You’ll also be expected to lead and develop others, both as an informal leader, eventually as a line manager in the future and as the lead within our internal client teams. You’ll be expected to contribute to the learning and professional growth of the teams that work with you.
Variety is key in all our roles. You’ll work on multiple projects at one time, across different industries, and with different internal teams. At the moment, our work is virtual, but as the world reopens, we anticipate we’ll return to some level of international travel to deliver our programmes in person.
The rest of your time is spent creating the amazing experiences we provide for our clients. Interviewing leaders, conducting research and analysis, testing programs, laughing. You’ll laugh a lot and have a lot of fun. And this is all done in a team-based setting where our entrepreneurial culture of freedom and responsibility empowers you to contribute from your first day.
What we’re looking for
You’re a highly experienced leadership development / organisational development professional or consultant, with strong experience in designing, developing and delivering solutions to a range of audiences. Strong experience of presenting and facilitating – virtually and in person. You’ll be curious, creative, collaborative and credible. You’ll bring an executive presence and sense of gravitas built on significant experience in a consulting or corporate environment. You’ll also have proven experience of business development and have a naturally consultative approach to sales.
You’ll also have experience of managing and leading others. You know how to get the best out of people and how to inspire confidence and pride in our work. You can give useful, timely and constructive feedback.
Able to communicate effectively with everyone you meet, you’ll be skilled in leveraging a variety of communication channels, especially those requiring digital architecture.
You’ll hold a good degree, be fluent in both English and Swedish, be willing to travel as indicated above and be eligible to work in Sweden without sponsorship.
