About the Role
As Sustainability Manager, Environment and Climate, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating Coor’s Group-wide environmental and climate efforts and strategy. You will develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with the company’s sustainability goals and broader business objectives, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving continuous improvement in environmental performance.
This is a senior and highly visible position, combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution. You will have the mandate to own and lead the climate agenda, working closely with national sustainability managers, operational teams, and the Group Executive Management. You will also act as a key sustainability advisor in business development processes, providing expertise in customer dialogues, procurement, and bids to ensure Coor’s service offerings meet growing sustainability demands.
You will lead cross-functional workstreams and forums, act as a central expert and change agent for environmental and climate topics, and contribute to a culture of shared learning and development across the Group.
You will report to the VP, Head of Sustainability at Coor Group. The role is based at Coor’s Group HQ in Solna, Stockholm. Occasional travel across the Nordics is expected. Coor offers a hybrid work model, and there are good opportunities for remote work as part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of Coor’s Group-wide sustainability strategy
- Monitor, analyze, and translate regulatory developments (e.g., CSRD, EU Taxonomy) into actionable plans
- Manage the sustainability reporting process in line with relevant frameworks and standards
- Drive internal and external stakeholder engagement on environmental sustainability topics
- Coordinate sustainability data collection and ensure data quality and transparency
- Support country organizations and business units in developing local sustainability initiatives
- Collaborate with other functions (e.g., Procurement, HR, Finance) to integrate sustainability into key business processes
- Represent Coor in external networks and industry collaborations
Your Profile
You are a purpose-driven sustainability professional who thrives on turning strategy into action. You have a passion for environmental impact and are skilled at engaging others around a common goal. With a combination of structure, curiosity, and clear communication, you inspire action and bring people with you.
You can balance regulatory demands with business priorities, and know how to embed sustainability into everyday decisions and processes. You are proactive, credible, and confident leading cross-functional initiatives across multiple countries and stakeholders. With your strong stakeholder management skills and genuine interest in collaboration, you help create real business value while accelerating Coor’s climate journey.
We believe you bring:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role preferably in an international or Nordic corporate setting, or in a consultancy setting,
- Strong understanding of EU regulatory frameworks, climate reporting standards and environmental management (e.g. ISO 14001)
- Experience managing sustainability reporting and related audits
- A university degree in Environmental Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong stakeholder management and project leadership skills
- Strong analytical and data skills, including experience in KPI frameworks and sustainability reporting
- Excellent communication skills in English (Swedish or another Nordic language is a merit)
