About the Role
HR Business Partner, covering Northern Europe (Nordics & Netherlands), based in their Malmö office. The HR Business Partner will be part of a wider EMEA HR Business Partnering team supporting their People Team in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The HR Business Partner – Northern Europe will support their employees, local leadership and operations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and the Netherlands, whilst partnering key stakeholders with a presence in the region, such as functional and market leaders.
The role will provide consultation on all people matters, ensuring that HR processes and procedures can deliver business strategies and growth plans, and that global projects and initiatives are delivered compliantly within the region. This will involve collaboration and negotiations with Trade Unions and Works Councils.
Supported by a strong People Team, the HR Business Partner will focus on building capability and capacity of leaders and managers to embed good people management practices and works closely with HR colleagues in the COEs and other regions to deliver an effective and aligned People function.
You report to the Director of HR Business Partners for EMEA, who is located in UK.
Key responsibilities
· Providing first line HR business partnering support, addressing matters escalated by the HR Services Team. Advise managers and employees on all employee relations and other people matters.
· Build the capability of line managers and leaders to effectively manage and own the employment relationship throughout the employee lifecycle, intervening as required to manage business risks.
· Work with internal stakeholders to understand the people management priorities that will drive and deliver business plans and use this insight to develop effective and innovative HR solutions.
· Work with Functional HR Business Partners and local managers to understand and evaluate the talent and succession needs for their area of the business and support them to provide effective talent management interventions and career coaching conversations with their teams.
· Lead the business relationship with the local Works Councils and/or Trade Unions, fostering a culture of openness and trust.
· Trusted advisor to the business on the Works Council legislation and scope.
· Horizon scanning externally to identify and understand key employment legislation changes across the portfolio, supporting and delivering training to and regularly updating internal stakeholders.
· Regularly reviewing, updating, and improving employee policies across the portfolio, ensuring that they are legislatively compliant, visible, and accessible to all stakeholders.
· Provide advice and support to the COE’s on all day-to-day matters, from Talent Acquisition to global initiatives.
Your qualifications
To excel in this role, you must possess expertise in HR Lifecycle, implementing strategies throughout the employee journey to nurture growth. To succeed you are a trusted advisor who swiftly builds robust stakeholder relationships, genuinely engaging with their business challenges. Commercial awareness is crucial, alongside collaborative skills and the ability to influence stakeholders effectively for project success. Process excellence and legal acumen are essential, as is adept management of multiple tasks with precision. Language proficiency is necessary, with excellent verbal and written English skills, as AVEVA’s corporate language is English.
Essential experience includes business partnering and a solid HR background, encompassing full lifecycle knowledge. Desirable qualifications comprise graduate/post-graduate education in HR Management and a minimum of 4-5 years of relevant working experience. You have exposure to matrix organizations, and familiarity with organizational development tools. Experience with unions and works councils is valued, and proficiency in Nordic languages or Dutch is advantageous.
