About the role

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is recruiting a Senior Manager for their High & Heavy Account team in Gothenburg. This strategic role is essential for fostering long-term partnerships and driving business growth with a key customer in the High & Heavy segment. You will lead and coordinate a global, integrated sales effort, focusing on partnership and business development, identifying and pursuing growth opportunities, internal and external stakeholder management, and driving digitalization and sustainability initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence and drive Wallenius Wilhelmsen's strategic agenda in a dynamic and international environment with a key customer.

Reports to: VP Customer Growth Nordics

Business Unit: Customer Growth (Commercial)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead account management and sales for the assigned account
  • Develop and execute account plans, focusing on customer objectives and growth opportunities
  • Drive the company´s strategic agenda of digitalization and sustainability in collaboration with the customer to meet ambitious targets
  • Ensure close collaboration and alignment with Operations and Product Development, Contracting & Pricing.  
  • Implement new contracts and ensure operational alignment and performance.
  • Review operational performance with relevant units
  • Manage relationships and facilitate multi-stakeholder management coupled with the account
  • Lead contract and tender processes, ensuring internal alignment, governance and compliance
  • Manage the opportunity pipeline and ensure accurate forecasts
  • Analyze performance, identify improvements, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive action

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of business strategy and customer value
  • Proven ability to solve problems and collaborate effectively across functions
  • Strong experience and market know-how on Shipping and Logistics
  • In-depth experience in negotiation, tendering, and contracting activities
  • Strong experience in account management
  • Developed ability to create and drive commercial strategies
