Leadership Academy

Novare Leadership Academy travelled with a small group of senior executives to New York & Washington for a tailor-made business trip with focus on leadership and business. We came back home with lots of new insights and widened perspectives.

First Stop: New York

Our journey commenced in New York, where the itinerary was packed with meetings and participation in the Executive Women Conference, organized by the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce New York. The conference emphasized the importance of cultivating valuable business networks and supporting one another’s growth. The attendees recognized the potential of their individual experiences to inspire the next generation of women in business.

We also visited The Mission of Sweden to the United Nations hosted by Ambassador Charlotta Schlyter. Global cooperation within the framework of the United Nations is a cornerstone of Swedish foreign policy, and The Swedish Mission is representing Sweden in the United Nations, the local EU coordinations as well as towards other UN Missions.

Our meeting at the Swedish Mission really made an impact on us. We got insights on the invaluable work done through our Swedish representation to the UN.

Anne Wolf, Partner & Program Director at Novare Leadership Academy

Further we had inspiring meetings at Patricia Industries, hosted by Laura Andrews, COO. Patricia Industries is responsible for the wholly-owned subsidiaries of Investor AB. Patricia Industries was established in 2015 to accelerate and increase the commitment to that effort, and their focus is to own Nordic and North American companies.

Other visits in New York included meetings at Ericsson and TIFF Investment Management. Thank you Anna Throne-Holst & Team at SACC NY for a great collaboration!

Washington

The journey then continued to Washington, where the executives attended the Executive Forum Conference organized by the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce (SACC), USA. Our participant Lina Ankargren from Scania participated in a panel discussion on how electric technology will transform ground transportation together with Niklas Reinedah at Einride. Another interesting presentation on sustainable air transportation was given by Jasmin Utter, SAS and facilitated by Peter Fellman, Dagens Industri. The conference gave us a wide-angle perspective on all the links and connections there are between Swedish business and the US. Thanks to Karin Hammar & Team at SACC USA!

The trip culminated with a memorable visit to the US Congress at Capitol Hill, providing a remarkable finale to an insightful week. Our executives returned home with a wealth of new insights, perspectives, and inspiration.

At the end of the week, we summarized the program with a wide range of valuable take-aways from our meetings. One of the greatest values was meeting people from different industries and companies to share perspectives on business, leadership, and growth. All in all – great inspirations throughout the week!
