Head of Business Control & Finance, Business Area Life Science

As Head of Business Control & Finance for Business Area Life Science at Indutrade, you will take on a senior role with overall responsibility for business control, financial governance, analysis, planning and follow-up. The business area includes companies within the Medical and Pharma segments, creating a dynamic and commercially interesting environment where financial insight, structured decision support and a strong understanding of the business are central to continued development.

Working closely with the SVP Business Area Life Science, the Business Area management team, Indutrade Group Management and the portfolio companies, you will translate financial data into clear insights, priorities and actions. The role requires the ability to look beyond the numbers, understand the broader commercial context and contribute to sound strategic and operational decisions. As part of Indutrade’s decentralized model, you will work in close dialogue with the companies, supporting CFOs and finance managers with insight, structure and constructive collaboration while helping to strengthen financial processes and business control capabilities.

You will be part of the Business Area management team and report to the SVP Business Area Life Science. Leading a finance team of two, you will work closely with CFOs and finance managers across the business area, as well as with Group Finance and other relevant networks within Indutrade, contributing to a strong and business-oriented finance function. The role will also include board assignments within the business area. The position is based at Indutrade’s headquarters in Stockholm.

Your profile

• Proven experience from a senior business control or finance role with broad responsibility across analysis, planning, forecasting, performance follow-up and decision support.
• Experience from working with a portfolio or group of companies, combined with a background from technically oriented, value-adding B2B businesses, preferably within both trading and manufacturing.
• Strong business interest and a solid understanding of the drivers behind growth, profitability and value creation.
• Ability to translate financial data into clear insights, priorities and actions that support business growth and performance improvement.
• Good understanding of financial governance, compliance, risk management and internal control.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coach finance professionals and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• A relevant academic degree in finance, business administration or a related field.
• Experience from Life Science, Medical, Pharma or other regulated industries is an advantage, but not a requirement.
