You are an alumni of the Novare Learn to Lead Program – what are your key takeaways from the program, and how do you apply those lessons in your work?

Novare’s Learn to Lead Program gave me a much deeper understanding of what leadership truly means, not as a position, but as a mindset and responsibility. It helped me develop a clearer sense of self-awareness, communication, and empathy in my daily work.

I’ve become far more intentional about how I listen, give feedback, and support the people around me. Leadership for me now is about enabling others to succeed, creating trust, and combining analytical thinking with emotional intelligence. These lessons have shaped how I coordinate projects and teams and build collaboration across functions at Mycronic.

“I’ve become far more intentional about how I listen, give feedback, and support the people around me.”

During the program, you presented a “case for change” – tell us about that assignment and what it led to

My Case for change focused on sustainability – how Mycronioc can reduce chemical consumption and minimize the environmental impact of our production and process workflows. It started as a collaborative team project during the program and has since evolved into ongoing initiatives at Mycronic. Some aspects of this work were originally initiated by other colleagues of mine, and I was fortunate to join and further develop the effort in parallel with them.

“The experience opened my eyes to how leadership can drive change not only within teams but also toward a greater purpose.”

The experience opened my eyes to how leadership can drive change not only within teams but also toward a greater purpose. Today, I’m actively involved in Mycronic’s sustainability initiatives, supporting our innovation fund and helping colleagues transform good ideas into tangible, responsible improvements.

The project really marked the beginning of my personal journey toward sustainability-driven innovation. Over the past year, I’ve been developing an ambitious sustainability-related idea of my own and am currently exploring external collaborations to bring it to reality.

You work in an environment characterized by innovation and change – what drives you in your role today?

Working in an industry where technology evolves every day is incredibly energizing. What drives me most is the opportunity to be part of something that shapes the future, to contribute to solutions that enable more efficient and sustainable electronics, impacting millions of lives worldwide.

At the same time, in a world where trends shift rapidly and everything can turn upside down in an instant, we live amid constant uncertainty. Humans now spend much more energy trying to predict what comes next, and in this environment, I’ve learned to anchor myself not just in logic but also in emotion. Motivation is deeply emotional, and as such, it naturally fluctuates, a sinusoidal rhythm we need to accept rather than resist.

I’m learning to live with discipline while embracing my emotions, to stay grounded in purpose despite the turbulence around me. In a world where we’re interrupted every 45 seconds, focus has become a rare skill. That’s why I believe building a psychologically safe environment, one where people feel trust, presence, and shared purpose, isn’t just important; it’s essential. It’s what allows us to stay creative, resilient, and truly collaborative in the face of constant change.

What message would you like to share with those who are about to take on their first leadership role?

Leadership is less about authority and more about authenticity. It’s about being genuinely curious about others, listening before speaking, and creating an environment where people feel safe to contribute their best.

Your role as a leader is to remove obstacles, not to control; to shine light ahead, not to stand in it. You’ll make mistakes, and that’s part of the journey, but if you lead with empathy, fairness, and courage, you’ll help both your team and yourself grow.

In the end, great leadership is about service, helping others see their own potential and giving them the confidence and space to realize it.
