About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically minded Sourcing Manager to drive our sourcing and supplier strategy for timber and sustainable materials across Europe. You will be responsible for identifying, developing and managing local suppliers and manufacturing partners across Scandinavia and wider Europe – building a resilient, high-quality, and sustainable supply chain. You will support prototype development and help transition products from concept to large-scale production.
The role is based in Stockholm, reports to Procurement & Supply Chain Director and will join the Strategic Procurement team. Traveling within Europe to visit suppliers, partners, and project sites will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end sourcing for timber, timber products, and sustainable materials for Bauer Media Outdoor’s product programmes across Europe.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new local suppliers and manufacturing partners across in Scandinavia and wider Europe.
- Develop supplier relationships that ensure quality, sustainability, and scalability for mass production.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams such as design, engineering and commercial, to align sourcing with technical and commercial requirements.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and supply agreements to secure best value while maintaining sustainability standards.
- Provide ongoing supplier performance management, risk mitigation, and supply assurance.
- Contribute to sustainability targets including increased use of recycled materials, carbon footprint tracking, and 100% recyclability goals.
- Provide regular reporting and insights on sourcing activities, market trends, and supplier landscapes.

Requirements
- + 7 years proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement.
- Strong background in timber, timber products and/or sustainable materials.
- Technical understanding of timber production, pre-built structures, or wood-based construction.
- Degree in engineering, supply chain, procurement, or related field. MCIPS or equivalent qualification is a plus.
- Hands-on experience negotiating supplier contracts and managing long-term partnerships.
- Demonstrated knowledge of European supplier markets, preferably within the timber and construction materials sectors.
- Track record of delivering tangible business benefits including process efficiencies and savings.
- Knowledge of sustainability standards, certifications and sustainable sourcing practices.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of a Scandinavian language is an advantage.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Europe
