About the Role
As Group General Counsel at Stillfront you will serve as the main legal advisor to the Board of Directors, executive management and business leadership. You will lead all legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs across the Group and provide guidance on corporate governance, commercial, data protection, IP, and global risk management matters.
Based in Stockholm, you will define and execute the Group’s legal strategy, maintain strong relationships with Stillfront’s business partners and advisors, and lead a high-performing legal and compliance team. This role is ideal for an experienced legal executive who thrives in an international, tech-driven environment and brings a strategic, solutions-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities
• Advise the board, executive management and business leadership on i.a. governance, strategy, M&A, and regulatory matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, stock exchange requirements, and corporate governance standards.
• Manage and protect the company’s IP portfolio, including infringement matters and content protection.
• Review negotiate and draft commercial agreements across the business.
• Lead legal workstreams in M&A, joint ventures, and capital markets activities.
• Oversee global data protection compliance, including GDPR and other privacy regulations.
• Develop and maintain the Group’s compliance framework (AML, anti-bribery, MAR/stock exchange compliance, etc.).
• Lead internal investigations and manage litigation and dispute resolution.
• Manage external legal counsel and ensure cost-efficient use of resources.
• Lead and develop the in-house legal and compliance team and strengthen cross-functional collaboration across the Group.

Requirements
• Swedish juristexamen (LL.M.) or equivalent degree from a reputable university.
• Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience—ideally 15+—including experience with listed companies and/or the tech sector.
• Broad experience with commercial agreements, M&A, IP, data protection, and corporate governance.
• Demonstrated experience managing legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong understanding of digital business models and interactive media licensing.
• Experience engaging with regulators and stock exchanges such as Finansinspektionen and Nasdaq Stockholm.
• Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English.
