Credit Associate

About the role
Novare Interim & Recruitment is assisting DBT in recruiting a Credit Associate. In this role, you will be a central part of our organization, serving as a cornerstone of our lending operations. You will act as a trusted business partner, leveraging your deep understanding of financial analysis and key business drivers to make data-driven, well-considered credit decisions at scale.
Key responsibilities include:
- Credit Monitoring — Proactively identify and actively work with non-performing loans. Assess routes ahead and take preemptive actions to reduce defaults and minimize credit losses, both from a hands-on, case-by-case perspective and through proactive, data-driven portfolio analysis to enhance efficient credit monitoring at scale. Drive the client dialogue directly, which requires strong people skills in addition to analytical ability.
- Credit Underwriting — Collaborate with colleagues within the Growth team to structure credit proposals and assess creditworthiness through deep expertise in financial analysis, both on a hands-on, case-by-case basis and through a proactive, data-driven portfolio lens.
- Operational excellence — Identify and execute opportunities to streamline and improve credit-related processes, enhancing the efficiency of workflows within DBT.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree (a master’s degree is a plus), preferably in Finance, Economics, or Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in Financial Due Diligence, Credit analysis, M&A or other fields where fundamental financial modeling has been integral to your daily responsibilities
- AI curious, you follow developments in AI and are enthusiastic about applying new tools to sharpen your analysis and improve workflows.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Excellent command of both Swedish and English in all forms of communication.
Furthermore, we believe you possess the following skills:
- Financial analysis: Strong ability to analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Risk assessment: Ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks associated with lending to growing SMEs.
- Attention to detail: Meticulous in reviewing financial data and detecting critical issues that may affect a customer’s creditworthiness.
