CapMan Real Estate Sweden now continue its growth in the Swedish real estate market and look to strengthen our team with a Construction Manager with long experience from managing and executing extensive and complex real estate construction projects.

In this role you would, from the start, be part of our ongoing projects which include major refurbishment properties, primarily within the greater Stockholm region. Later on, there will be great opportunities to work on new projects, which can include all kind of commercial as well as residential properties.

The role

As a Project Manager you are responsible to plan construction projects and oversee the progress in a timely and cost-effective manner. Amongst other, you will be responsible for budgeting and forecasting, implementation and scheduling of the projects. You'll work closely with CapMan Real Estate’s Asset Management team, but also with authorities, architects and other building professionals within the industry.

Your responsibilities more specifically:

• You are involved and managing the projects from start, entering into relevant agreements, participate in project and construction meetings, take care of project progress with contractors and advisers from the sketch project, during planning and execution.
• Your construction technical insight ensures buildable, sustainable and recognized technical solutions as well as good furnishings and correct choice of materials.
• You develop and manage the construction budget and ensure ongoing financial follow-up.
• You master the dialogue with authorities and ensure that the project complies with zoning plan and building permit.
• You are handing over the completed project after final inspection to the asset manager and ensure a smooth transition from contractor to administration/operation and handover to the tenant.

What we expect from you:

• Experience and equivalent background as a building designer, engineer, site manager or project manager.
• Ability to see the big picture as well as pay attention to detail. You have a proactive approach and ability to lead and manage, independently or in a team, projects through all phases from start to finish.
• You have great experience in managing budgets, cost control and time monitoring.
• You have great understanding of construction projects with high sustainability in order to be able to implement CapMan's ESG strategy in the projects.
• Knowledge and good understanding of asset management of commercial and residential real estate.
• Strong communication skills – for liaising with a range of stakeholders.
• Excellent time and project management skills.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience from relevant business.
• Fluent in Swedish and English both verbally and in writing.
