About the position
In this role, you will have a central responsibility for ensuring that the work of the board is conducted in a structured, professional and forward-looking way. You will drive the planning, coordination and follow-up of the annual cycle for the board and its committees, including a transition from a one year to a multi-year planning horizon. You will be part of the function responsible for ensuring that the board as well as board committees and management committees operate effectively and in line with high standards of corporate governance and formal requirements. A key part of the role is to prepare and quality assured and detailed material for board and management committee meetings, and to act as the first point of contact for questions related to board processes and governance documentation in an international and regulated environment.
You will use English as a natural working language in both written and verbal communication. Your legal background, strong interest in the financial industry and your ability to solve problems will be important to succeed in the role. Over time, you will have a clear opportunity to further develop your own long-term career within corporate governance and board administration. The position is based in Stockholm.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that the work of the board follows established processes, regulatory requirements and internal timelines.
- Planning, coordinating and following up the work of the board’s committees, including agendas, schedules and multi-year planning.
- Structuring and organising all management committees so that meetings, decisions and follow-up are handled in a consistent and well documented way.
- Providing high quality corporate governance support to the board, board committees and management committees, including preparation of formal documentation and minutes.
- Collecting, compiling and quality assuring extensive and detailed meeting materials, ensuring complete, accurate and clearly presented documentation.
- Supporting the management team in practical matters related to board and committee processes.
- Supporting the general counsel / company secretary in corporate governance work, including board support and coordination with external stakeholders where relevant.
- Working in an international environment and using English as your primary working language in documentation and communication.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of routines, templates and ways of working within governance, always asking how processes can be made more efficient and effective.
