As Head of Group Compensation & Benefits at Skanska, you will play a central role in shaping and governing the company’s global Total Reward agenda. Based in Group HR and reporting to the EVP HR, you will hold overall responsibility for the Group’s Compensation & Benefits function, including the compensation strategy and guidelines, total reward frameworks and structures, and the Skanska Employee Ownership Program (SEOP). You will prepare and lead key compensation topics for the Group Leadership Team, the Board and its Compensation Committee, ensuring that executive remuneration, incentive plans and related governance are robust, compliant and aligned with Skanska’s business strategy and values. Operating in a decentralized, international organization, you will act as an advisor to senior management on reward and HR‑related matters.

 

The position is based at Skanska’s Headquarters in Lindhagen, Stockholm, reports to the EVP HR, and is part of a wider HR function.. As Head of Group Compensation & Benefits, you will lead a Compensation & Benefits Manager, liase with compensation & benefits functions, HR, finance, and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders across the Group to further develop and refine Skanska’s Total Reward strategy and processes.

 

Background & Experience

  • University degree in Law, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Approximately 10 years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits, executive reward or a comparable senior reward role, preferably in a large international group.
  • Proven track record within executive compensation, incentive programs and Total Reward, including salary structures, short- and long-term incentives and benefits.
  • Experience advising senior leaders on complex reward, governance and decision-making topics.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to interpret data, benchmarks and legal or tax implications in a compensation context.
  • Experience of working in cross-functional projects in an international environment.
  • Strong understanding of tax and pension regulations for senior executives; exposure to expatriate or international assignments is an advantage.
  • High level of comfort working with HR processes, tools and data; strong skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
