Altano Scandinavia is in an exciting expansion phase and is now looking for a business-oriented and communicative Finance Director and Business Partner who wants to support our continued development. As Finance Director, you will be a key member of our management team and report directly to the Altano Group CFO. About the role:
As Finance Director, you have overall responsibility for all finance-related matters, including accounting, reporting, and financial management. You are expected to lead and implement new routines and processes when needed, and work closely with clinic managers to ensure that financial goals align with operational strategies. Your ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and act as a business partner is essential for success in this role. You are someone who enjoys numbers but loves working with people. We also value knowledge and interest in HR topics, as you will act as a hands-on support resource for our clinics. Flexible hybrid work with an office at Mälaren Hästklinik in Sigtuna.
Main responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for finance and accounting in Sweden, Iceland and Finland and strong partnership with our Danish team.
- Lead work with budgeting, reporting, and financial control.
- Drive the development of processes, routines, and reporting.
- Manage audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Participate in strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, Integration of new clinics and partnerships.
- Provide strategic recommendations to management and the board.
- Act as a financial business partner to country organizations and clinics.
- Support the business beyond the finance function as Business Partner
Who are we looking for?
- Degree in Business Administration or equivalent higher education.
- Solid experience in finance, accounting, and business-oriented controlling, preferably in an international environment.
- Hands-on and skilled business partner with excellent relationship-building skills, able to create trustful, long-lasting partnerships across the organization.
- Experience in both strategic and operational work.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Previous experience from accounting or audit firms is an advantage.
- Experience in business acquisitions is a merit.
- Strong communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
