Group Chief Credit Officer

Aros Kapital is on a clear growth and internationalisation journey in Sweden, the UK and new markets. As Group Chief Credit Officer, you will lead the group-wide credit function and play a central role in securing sound, profitable growth with strong risk control.
You will have end-to-end responsibility for credit strategy, risk assessment, credit decisions and regulatory compliance across all geographies. In close partnership with the business, you ensure that the credit framework, portfolio and processes support Aros Kapital’s ambitions and are firmly aligned with the company’s objectives and risk appetite.
You will:
- Lead and develop a growing credit organisation of approximately 15–20 professionals
- Set and refine credit strategy, policies and guidelines on group level
- Ensure high-quality, consistent credit decisions and robust portfolio oversight
- Drive continuous improvements in credit processes, models, data and tools
- Safeguard strong internal control and high-quality reporting to management, board and authorities
- Lead and contribute to strategic projects within credit, analytics and risk management
Profile
Background and experience
- Degree in Business and Economics or other relevant academic background. At least 10 years of experience in senior credit work.
- Previous leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and supervisory requirements for credit market institutions.
- Solid experience in credit assessment, credit risk and decision-making for corporate customers.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply regulations in practice.
- Experience leading teams and developing work processes.
- At least 10 years of qualified credit work, preferably in a leadership role.
- Substantial experience in managing credit / investment activities across jurisdictions is considered a key differentiator, with exposure to the UK market being particularly relevant
- Very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

You are also confident in your decision-making and show high integrity in everything you do.
The role reports directly to the CEO and is part of the executive management team, giving you a strong platform to influence both strategy and daily operations.
Preferred location is Gothenburg, but other locations in Sweden are possible for candidates able to travel regularly to Gothenburg.
