Orkla Wound Care (a part of Orkla Health) is looking for a Commercial Director B2C to manage the commercial operations and drive profitable growth across the business unit. The Commercial Director is responsible for leading and managing all external distributors (across Europe) as well as monitoring the commercial performance of internal distributors. As Commercial Director you will manage the current portfolio but also work with business development to identify new market and new commercial opportunities.
The position is based at the Swedish Orkla head quarter in Solna Business Park and will include occasional travelling to the European markets. The Commercial Director B2C reports to CEO of Orkla Wound Care and is part of the leadership team.
Key responsibilities
- Develop the business in line with the objectives in the strategic plan
- Ensure implementation of the category and marketing strategies across markets to secure long-term growth and profitability for Orkla Wound Care
- Develop annual marketing/action plans together with the external distributors, and follow up on the execution
- Develop and establish commercial strategies, tactics and KPI’s to achieve the objectives for the Business Unit s consumer portfolio in the international markets
- Identify new commercial opportunities within the B2C segment
- Negotiate agreements and commissions, make business plans together with distributors.
- Expand the digital sales operations with players like Amazon – in cooperation with Orkla Trading.
- Ensure that external distributors have focus and dedicate sufficient resources to the OWC portfolio
- Build and maintain partnerships and good relationships with key stakeholders
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting per external distributor and market, as well as ensuring an efficient and accurate demand planning
Candidate Profile & requirements
- 10 years’ experience from commercial roles, preferably FMCG
- Experience from working across the Nordics or EU
- Experience from working with external distributors
- Experience From working in a matrix organization is an advantage
- Excellent in overall business, commercial, and financial understanding
- Strategic mindset, yet hands-on and action-oriented
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Full proficiency in Swedish and English (speaking and writing)
